Hey my lovely awesome Filipinas!

You know how makeup can be very daunting to beginners right? I reminisce the first time I had an encounter with cosmetics and it totally intimidated me. Also, the idea of doing it everyday maybe a little ambitious. But fear not! For I will be sharing some tips to achieve the perfectly seamless, flawless everyday make up look that you can wear to school/work or you just want to wear to feel good about yourself. :)

The photo above is an everyday make up look I have done in a recent shoot. My lovely model Key, had close to perfect skin. But of course, I still needed to cover up some minor imperfections like shadowy under eye circles, a few redness and uneven skin tone.

These are the simple steps to accomplish this glowing look:

Clean and Clear!
We need to establish a great canvass to work on. So make sure to clean your face with a cleanser before putting any make up on. This will instantly remove dead skin cells, dirt and oil that may be building up on your pores (yikes!)  and traces of make up from the night before. Pick a mild product that is suitable for every day use. If you will be doing make up on some one else and their is no chance of cleansing, the alternative is using make up wipes. An ordinary set of unscented wipes are best.
Tip: If you have oily skin that is prone to breakouts, remember to use cleansers with Salicylic acid, as it acts as a great oil zapper and acne buster. For dry skin, avoid using products with alcohol in it, as that dries out the skin even more.

Moisturize!
NEVER and I say this with a strict motherly tone, NEVER SKIP PUTTING ON MOISTURIZER. It is a way to replenish your skin's moisture after you washed it. Also, do you notice how stars have glowing skin even though they do not have make up on? It's because they moisturized their skin very well. Opt for a product that is not greasy and easily absorbed by the skin. Also, use a product with SPF to avoid those pesky and harmful UV Rays.

A Great Base
Nowadays, with so many skin products to choose from, women are not confined in just using foundations as a base for make up. There are tinted moisturizers, BB, CC and DD Creams if you want a light coverage. They offer extra oomph to the skin because they are a hybrid of foundation, moisturizer, SPF and in the case of DD creams, anti-aging benefits. If you have limited time, you can also skip on putting foundations and proceed to using concealer. But the great thing about using foundations is evens out the skin and provide great coverage, depending on the product you will be using.
Tip: Remember that when using foundations/concealer, use a product that is the color of your skin, if you are morena, use foundations with a yellow tone; for mestiza girls use foundations that have a peachy undertone, these will cancel out most of your redness.

BROW CHECK
After putting on your base, start by filling your brows with a pencil or brow powder. For a more minimal look, try using a tinted brow gel. This will prevent the hairs from going down, because a great set of brows are always brushed up. It is important to define the brows, as it is the frames of the windows of our souls, the eyes. Having groomed brows says a lot about a person, just like having great teeth or manicured nails.

EYES, EYES BABY
For the eyes, it is so easy to go overboard. Never use dark colors in your eye shadows for an everyday look. If you were to use eye shadows, use earthy tones like browns, peaches and nude colors. I personally go to school without eyeshadow on and just use eyeliner to define my eyes. Just put a thin line of liner (whether it be pencil, liquid or gel) in your top lashline, the closer to the lashes the better, as it will make the eyes look more awake. Next, curl your lashes. I am a great believer of the lash curler, it is absolutely one of the best inventions us humans had ever built. Curling your lashes will add a little bit extra in your look, it will make the eyes look special and flirty. Also, if you have long lashes, this is a great way to show it off. If you are not so lucky to have blessed lashes, mascara is the way to go. Whenever I am out of the house I never forget to put mascara on, it adds glamour to our lashes and amplifies it. For me putting on mascara is like putting on a new sense of confidence, plus I have short lashes so using mascara will let me rock the long lashes look without the use of falsies.

BLUSHING BABE
For an everyday look, use blush colors with a peach, coral and light pink tones. Peach tones compliment morena girls while light pink colors are for mestizas. Contouring is for night time, so never pile up too much blush and it is better to add just a little bit of color to the cheeks.
Tip: When using blush, swirl the brush in your blush and tap the excess. Then sweep it lightly on the apples of your cheek, forehead and chin.

LIP SERVICE
For lips, it is a better option to use glosses and tints than sticks,  as it provides a more natural approach. But if you must use a lipstick, remember to stick to light colors and with a sheer texture. Also, choose a product has built-in moisturizers ans SPF in it, drying, chapping lips will be avoided.
Tip: Always use a lip balm to give some love to your lips. Sticks and glosses last longer on moisturized, healthy lips. If you have chronic dry lips, try applying a lip scrub first to exfoliate it.

Now that you're done, take a proud look in the mirror for all the loveliness you have accomplished. With your confidence and beauty, I'm sure you will rock the whole world!

Kisses,
Anne
